Get 18% off Alienware’s fantastic 34-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor

It may be a while before Alienware’s stellar new-for-2024 4K QD-OLED curved gaming monitor gets a big discount from its $1,200 price. However, if you can settle for 1440p resolution, you’re getting a good deal on this model’s predecessor. Alienware’s 34-inch 1440p QD-OLED gaming display is $899.99 during the day Amazon Spring Sale, down from its regular price of $1,099.99. This temporary price reduction is specifically on the AW3423DW model with Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate, indicating that it has great HDR and low-latency gameplay, and not the inferior AW3423DWF model that is typically discounted.

Alienware’s AW3423DW gaming monitor features a curved QD-OLED screen, which offers stunning image quality and contrast. The fast 175Hz refresh rate works with PC games and supports up to 100Hz with consoles.

During my time as a reviewer at The edge, and I enjoyed almost every second of it. It’s a great screen for PC gaming. However, due to the ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio, I can only recommend this monitor to those who play games that support 21:9 resolution. The list of games that support this is large (and constantly growing), but unsupported games are shown on the left and right of the image with large black bars. As for consoles, they only support 16:9 output, so you’ll get those vertical black bars if you plug in a PS5 or Xbox.

In 2022, I thought $1,299.99 was a fair price to ask for the AW3423DW. And now, two years later, I can confidently say that $899.99 is a fair price. The only OLED gaming monitor cheaper than this is a 27-inch flat panel from LG, currently selling for $799.99 ($100 off). To me, trading off the curvature and size advantage of the Alienware isn’t worth these savings.
