Hetfield posed with his girlfriend Adriana Gillett, while Trujillo attended with his wife Chloe.
The outing comes just six months after the group had to postpone their show in Glendale, Arizona after Hetfield contracted COVID-19.
Drummer from the legendary metal group Lars Ulrich was not present at the evening gala.

His girlfriend Adriana Gillett opted for a black and gold spaghetti strap dress that went all the way to the red carpet, along with a pair of gold platform heels.
Guitarist Hammett opted for a white shirt under a gray shirt under a black leather jacket for the outing.
He also wore leopard print pants for the evening as he posed with an unidentified guest.
Bassist Trujillo stepped out in a classic black suit with a white shirt, black tie, black jacket and black pants.
He added some flair with a pair of silver and black Golden Goose sneakers to stay comfortable on the red carpet.

They will embark on leg 4 of the tour starting in Munich at the end of May and performing across Europe until mid-July.
They return to the United States in early August for the fifth and final leg at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The tour concludes at the end of September with four performances at Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico.
The tour is in support of their 11th studio album, 72 Seasons, which received critical acclaim upon its release in April 2023.
