Alan Jones denies he’s selling $20M three-bedroom apartment in Sydney despite ‘secret viewings’
Alan Jones has hit back at claims he is selling his luxury Sydney apartment overlooking Circular Quay.
However, potential buyers were shown around the former radio broadcaster’s home and had to sign strict confidentiality agreements, reports say Domain.
“I have no plans to sell and the property is not on the market,” Jones, 82, told the Herald.
Jones owns a three-bedroom home in the iconic Bennelong Apartments building on the eastern side of Sydney’s Circular Quay, overlooking the harbour.
The apartment building is informally known as ‘The Toaster’, due to its three-story exterior that somewhat resembles the communal kitchen appliance.

His home is known as a ‘piano-style apartment’ due to its distinctive shape and is estimated to be worth around $20 million.
The overwhelming value is due to both the luxurious design and the prime location in the front row of the northernmost part of the renowned apartment complex.
Jones has built a reputation for his investments in luxury real estate.
Last month, Jones made a staggering profit after selling his lavish South Brisbane apartment for $1.35 million.
He bought the two-bedroom Lower River Terrace property in 1987 for $200,000, according to reports.
Thirty-six years after purchasing, Alan has made a huge profit on the two-storey, 1,900 sq ft investment unit after reportedly selling it for $1.35 million last year.
The impressive unit features a bright and modern white-tiled living room, with large sliding doors leading out to a covered balcony with picturesque city views.
Alan stepped down from hosting 2GB’s radio breakfast show in May 2020, after 35 years of dominating the city’s airwaves and winning 226 consecutive ratings.
He retired on medical advice after decades of waking up at 2.30am on a mission to dominate the radio ratings on both 2UE and 2GB.
As he bid his listeners farewell as he left, he read a poem by Robert Lee Sharpe and said, “Forever together in spirit, but for now, goodbye.”
