Michael Jackson’s son Prince is spotted on set of upcoming biopic as his cousin Jaafar is seen dressed up as late King of Pop while filming Michael
Prince Jackson was spotted on Michael’s set in Los Angeles on Friday.
Michael Jackson’s 27-year-old son visited the cast and crew during production on the set of the upcoming biopic about the late King of Pop.
Elsewhere on set, his cousin, Jaafar Jackson, 27, was spotted dressed as the legendary singer while filming and will play the King of Pop in the film.
To support his cousin, the singer – one of Michael’s three wonderfully talented children – gave an informal performance and spoke to people on set.
For comfort, he wore a muted purple T-shirt, wide-leg jeans and black sneakers.

Elsewhere on set, his cousin, Jaafar Jackson, 27, was spotted dressed as the legendary singer while filming and will play the King of Pop in the film.
He was seen wearing a black trucker cap, a matching fanny pack over his shoulders and a striking watch.
His cousin, the son of Michael’s older brother Jermaine Jackson, was seen filming a scene wearing a red and white varsity jacket, dark-wash jeans and cherry red patent leather boots.
According to Varietya source close to the production stated that in addition to Jaafar, at least one other member of the family is always on set every filming day.
The music icon tragically passed away at the age of 50 in 2009 after suffering cardiac arrest when his doctor administered a lethal combination of drugs.
In honor of his memory, the Antoine Fuqua-directed project and casting were announced last year.
In early February, Prince shared his excitement about the project and expressed his support for his cousin taking on the role.
On Instagram, he shared a photo of Jaafar recreating an iconic snapshot from Michael’s Dangerous World Tour in the ’90s, captured by photographer Kevin Mazur.
In his caption, he wrote, “Super excited to share with you the first look of #MichaelMovie starring my cousin @jaafarjackson! This project has had so many special moments for me and everyone involved.

Having just turned 27 on February 13 when he shared the post, he thanked everyone for their birthday wishes and expressed his gratitude to Jaafar for portraying his father.
“Special thanks to my cousin,” he added. “Watching you perform and give your best is the closest thing I’ll ever get to seeing my dad in concert, and it’s a dream come true! Proud of you!’
Earlier this year, it was announced during casting that Jaafar will star as Michael, while Juliano Krue Valdi will play him in his early years.
Colman Domingo will play his father, Joe Jackson, and Nia Long will play his mother, Katherine Jackson. Miles Teller plays John Branca, Michael’s lawyer and co-executor of his estate.
It is unknown whether the biopic, which is being made in collaboration with the late musician’s estate, will address allegations that the singer sexually abused children.
His estate previously defended him against the allegations, which were the main focus of the 2019 HBO documentary series Leaving Neverland.
While the biopic team said they will provide an “unbiased” look at the star’s life, director Dan Reed criticized the biopic, calling the script “surprisingly unfair.”

“It feels like the makers of the film sat in a room with John Branca and just told them what to write.”
The point of contention is that he claims the biopic leaves out what his documentary series details.
In Leaving Neverland he focused on Wade Robson and James Safechuck’s allegations that the late King of Pop had sexually abused them for years since they were young children.
Michael will be released in theaters worldwide on April 18, 2025.
