Limerick Lace won the Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase on day four of the Cheltenham Festival.
It was a one-two punch for JP McManus as the winner fended off a late challenge from Dinoblue for the win.
The Gavin Cromwell-trained horse held on and stuck her neck out to take the win.
Limerick Lace is the full sister of Dinoblue and was therefore able to gain a victory over their brother or sister.
After the race, Cromwell told Racing TV: ‘She showed a bit of heart, didn’t she?

‘She was sincere. She led from far away and had a battle.
‘I’m happy for Keith (Donoghue), who is a big part of the team. He gave her a great ride and made it a good test.’
Asked about her pre-race playfulness, he added: ‘She’s always like that.
“She’s probably a lot better than she used to be. A little lady. But she showed courage and determination.’
Limerick Lace is also a full sister to Cromwell’s winner from Thursday – Inothewayurthinkin.’
Full siblings have both achieved honors at the festival in the past, but at the same meeting that is a rare achievement.
Marsh Wren finished third in what was the penultimate race of the festival, while Limerick Lace will turn their attention to next month’s Grand National.
