The star of Fortnite’s new map is this sexy image

Love is in the air and this time it’s not because of a silent video game character or a handsome actor… no. Now, players of Fortnite have gathered en masse to simplify – I mean worship – an in-game statue. In many ways, it’s just a regular abs sculpture, but that hasn’t stopped fans from responding online with a waterfall-like outpouring of thirst. Now this damn sexy image has its own fandom as people share clips of it online, fan art and even video edits where a single video viewed more than a million times.

Epic Games released Fortnite‘s Greek mythology-inspired Chapter 5 Season 2 update from last week. The patch brought the usual changes, such as new weapons, cosmetic items, and an edited map. Now players can explore a variety of Greek-inspired locations, such as the heavenly land of Zeus’ Mount Olympus or the ominous Temple of the Underworld. In keeping with the theme, the developers have also decorated some of the surrounding regions with a few different buildings inspired by ancient Greek architecture and statues – which brings us to our man of the hour.

Just a stone’s throw from De Onderwereld is a special monument. At first glance, this image doesn’t seem remarkable in any major way. It looks like a dull bronze metal and doesn’t have any special interactive elements like other places on the map. However, it quickly became a fan favorite purely because people found it sexy. This gigantic warrior happens to have a six-pack, a tiny waist, and sits permanently on his knees.

On some level I get it. (Even if it’s all a bit weird.) See, the developers have scaled the size of the kneeling image so that the crouches are perfectly at the character’s head height. Your character basically comes face to face with his abs and a tiny skirt. But I could never have expected the kind of communal response it generated; Just a single video of someone about to see it has more than 1.1 million views on TikTok and the platform is filled with several viral videos, all made in appreciation of the statue.

Another video said with text on a clip showing the statue: “epic KNEW what they were doing when they added this statue.” Under the TikTok, people were flooded with replies like: “I WANT HIM SO BAD” and “THE ABS LIKEE.” Clearly people can’t get enough of it and now users have flooded TikTok with several posts celebrating the warrior. Even if it’s a little, it’s a good one. I guess not everyone wants to fuck the statue in Fortnite but it works because of the game’s overall sense of whimsy. Moreover, these types of jokes ensure that the tone remains light and that new updates remain fun.
