The residents of Lakeside RV Park, in Lakeview, Ohio, were hit by a tornado on Thursday evening.

Images from the site have since emerged on social media showing the park left completely destroyed.

The park can accommodate a total of 343 campers, although it remains unclear how many people were affected by the storm.

A local journalist has reported that the storm caused a large number of casualties in the park, with people trapped under the remains of their vans.

Earlier on Thursday, warnings had been issued for multiple Ohio counties, with five counties affected.
