The digital divide: can you live without the internet?

Doctor’s appointments, job applications, personal banking, important services and more are now largely managed online. As the UK government sets out its plans for a digital future to transform public services, one in seven Britons are being forced to live without the internet. Narrated by three individuals who experience digital exclusion, this film shows how varied and complex the consequences can be. Through reenacted scenes from their lives, the growing digital divide is made visible – an issue that too often goes unseen or ignored by policymakers, companies and society as a whole.
