Liverpool fans have teased Arsenal over a ‘shameless’ detail included in a celebratory social media post on Tuesday evening.
The Gunners booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after a dramatic penalty shootout win against Porto – following a 1-1 draw after extra time.
Fortunately for Mikel Arteta’s side, Porto’s Wendell and Galeno both missed from the spot and in turn ensured Arsenal progressed to the next round.
Shortly afterwards, TNT Sports posted an image on their social media pages celebrating the Gunners’ success – before eagle-eyed fans pointed out one detail.

In the same post, they shared an image showing a number of Arsenal’s first-team stars celebrating as a Champions League trophy was lifted in the background.
However, fans were quick to point out that because Arsenal have never won the Champions League, TNT Sports graphics makers were forced to use a photo of Liverpool.
Fans noticed that it was Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp lifting the trophy pictured in the Arsenal image.
After it was revealed that it was Klopp in the photo, it didn’t take long for Liverpool fans to take to social media claiming it was ‘shameless’ of the designer.
‘They thought we wouldn’t see it. The graphic designer is a Liverpool fan,” said one user.
‘I see. They really are shameless,” another fan wrote with a series of laughing emojis on the post.
In a blunt message, one user wrote: “No way lol.”
“With a picture of Liverpool lifting the trophy…that’s a tough one,” said another fan.
However, fans were quick to point out that Jurgen Klopp’s trophy went up in the 2019 Champions League
Elsewhere in the evening, Porto head coach Sergio Conceicao accused Mikel Arteta of insulting his family during the tense Champions League match.
‘The result was unfair. Our team deserved to go through,” said the Porto boss.
‘What Arteta said to the bench in Spanish offended my family. He needs to focus on training his team.”
Arteta has denied Sergio Conceicao’s allegations, with club sources indicating the Spaniard has not said anything about his rival’s family.
