Embarrassing moment stylist screeches they’re the ‘head of Melbourne Fashion Week’ in wild video as they clash with a model over a private after-party booth

Shocking footage has emerged of a clash between a model and a celebrity stylist at last week’s Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Paige Montana De Cinque, 30, stopped with friends at popular Melbourne bar Bambi on Saturday evening and says she was verbally abused by stylist Jamie Azzopardi, who uses their pronouns, when she entered a private booth to greet a friend.

In footage of the brutal clash, obtained by Ny Breaking Australia, Azzopardi shouts that they are ‘Head of Fashion Week’, despite not being members of the organisation’s board.

De Cinque said Azzopardi first approached her and her friends to tell them to “move the f**k along” after they entered the stylist’s private booth.

The model said she didn’t know they had entered the Azzopardi booth because “the booth wasn’t cordoned off, there was no security, no wristbands.”

“They could have just taken someone from the site, asked us politely, and we would have happily moved,” she told Ny Breaking Australia.

However, the Cinque claimed that Azzopardi was immediately irritated by their presence and tried to take her and her friends away.

“We were just standing behind (the DJ booth) and talking to (the DJ) because he’s our friend,” De Cinque said.

‘After about half an hour Jamie came over and started shouting at everyone and telling everyone to go away.

“Jamie started getting really passive-aggressive… saying, ‘You and your plastic need to move,'” she added.

At this point the footage of the evening began, showing Azzopardi approaching the DJ and saying, “This will end badly if (De Cinque and her friends) don’t move.” This will end badly.’

The DJ then responded over the loud music, “I don’t know who you are,” to which the stylist claimed, “I’m Jamie.” I’m the head of Fashion Week.’

Again, the DJ said they didn’t know who Azzopardi was, but that the partygoer was planning on uprooting De Cinque and her friends.

‘I do not mind. I don’t care who any of these b***hes are,” Azzopardi said.

Azzopardi’s claims to be the ‘Head of Fashion Week’ could come as a shock to the annual festival’s management team.

Despite regularly attending the festival and styling various influencers and celebrities throughout the week, Azzopardi’s name is not included in the team listed on Melbourne Fashion Week’s website.

The said executive team consists of Chief Executive Officers Caroline Ralphsmith and Deirdre McGuane, Chief Customer Officer Clare Molesworth and Executive Assistant Sara Whitten.

Ny Breaking has contacted Melbourne Fashion Week for comment on the incident.

After more back and forth, De Cinque said she and her friends left Bar Bambi immediately after the altercation with Azzopardi and informed staff members and security of what had happened.

Ny Breaking Australia contacted Azzopardi for comment but they declined to make an official statement on the matter.

Azzopardi said Herald Sun On Monday they reacted calmly after De Cinque and her friends allegedly took a bottle of alcohol from their stall.

The celebrity stylist said: “(De Cinque) has been asked to move about 50 times.”

“People who know me know that I am not one to be disrespected, especially as I celebrate the end of an amazing week that was the Fashion Festival,” they said.

De Cinque denied ingesting the alcohol and said she did not remember seeing anyone with a bottle.

She further told Ny Breaking Australia that she and her friends were not drinking at all that night, and plans to report the incident to police and obtain CCTV footage.

Bar Bambi owner Nick Russian told Herald Sun that the venue was busy and he did not notice an argument taking place.

Azzopardi attended the fashion event every day and styled looks for influencers and celebrities throughout the festival.
