Jennifer Love Hewitt, 45, is seen on her first red carpet since sharing she ‘went through a lot no one knew about’ last year

Jennifer Love Hewitt was spotted on her first red carpet since she said in January that she’s been through “a lot that no one knew about” in 2023.

The beauty looked stylish as she attended a premiere event for the seventh season of 9-1-1, held at Spring Place in Beverly Hills on Monday night.

The 45-year-old artist stood out while wearing a bright white multi-pocket jacket, atop jet black pants and leather shoes.

The actress was also joined by Karey Burke, Ryan Guzman, Aisha Hinds, Oliver Stark, Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Kenneth Choi, Tim Minear and Craig Erwich, who all work on 9-1-1.

Hewitt plays Maddie Buckley, a trained nurse who becomes a 911 operator, in 9-1-1, which made its debut in 2018.

Co-created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Minear, 9-1-1 is set in Los Angeles and focuses on the lives of several first responders.

The Garfield actress joined the show’s cast during its second season, which debuted in September 2018.

Although the series made its debut on Fox and quickly became one of its highest-rated programs, the network canceled the show in May of last year, according to Deadline.

The decision to end the program is said to have been entirely financial, as each episode cost $9–10 million to film.

However, 9-1-1 was subsequently picked up by ABC and renewed for a seventh season on air.

Disney Television Group president Craig Erwich released a statement saying the opportunity to continue the show was “a privilege.”

He continued, β€œWe look forward to telling more heartbreaking and uplifting stories about these beloved characters on air.”

Hewitt temporarily left the program in 2021 to go on maternity leave after giving birth to her third child.

The performer spoke about her time off from 9-1-1 during an interview with Entertainment tonight and stated that she wanted to reflect her commitment to motherhood through the show.

‘From the moment Maddie gets the chance to become a mother again, being a mother will be the first priority. And that was important to me too, given my own real story happening,” she said.

Hewitt also recalled that longtime 9-1-1 fans were largely supportive of her taking time off to be with her family.

β€œThe fans know in real life why I left, and they forgive that, and that’s really nice,” she said.
