Gold Coast police brawl: Watch the wild moment thug, Noah Spells, takes down female cop AFTER she Tasered him

Bodycam footage shows the moment a vicious thug attacked a female police officer even after she knocked him down with her Taser.

Noah Spells, 40, pleaded guilty to numerous offenses including aggravated assault on a police officer, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and arming himself to cause fear. He was sentenced to two years in prison.

The video played at the Southport Magistrate’s Court showed Spells asleep at the wheel of a car in Pagewood, on the Gold Coast, on December 13.

He was woken up by the female officer who noticed he was ‘under the influence’.

He appears to rummage through the car as the officer asks him to get out, but then he suddenly charges at the much smaller officer and forces her to fire the Taser.

Spells screamed in pain as he writhed on the ground before launching a second attack a few seconds later, grabbing her by the hair and wrestling her into the road.

Wild footage has emerged of the moment Noah Spells, 40, jumped out of a car to attack a female officer (pictured) in Pagewood, Gold Coast, on December 13.

The officer screamed in pain during the attack and was later heard gasping for air and calling for backup.

Separate footage captured by a concerned neighbor shows Spells standing over the officer for a brief second before turning and driving onto the road.

Spells was located and arrested shortly afterwards, while the officer was taken to Pindara Hospital in a stable condition with injuries to her head and body.

A firearm and several rounds of ammunition were found in the car from which he fled. It is believed he reached for the gun when the officer confronted him.

The court heard this was the latest act in a recent string of crimes committed by Springs while on parole.

Police prosecutor Matthew Thompson said Spells had stolen a car from a car wash the day before.

He then brandished a ‘revolver-style shotgun’ at the car’s owner as he attempted to retrieve the stolen property. the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.

He then told the court that Spells’ extensive criminal record includes numerous crimes of a similar nature.

Spells’ attorney, Jason Grant, said his client grew up in an affluent household but fell into drug use and a life of crime.

Despite screaming and writhing in pain from the Tasering (pictured), Spells was able to recover and launch a second attack on the officer before fleeing.

Mr Grant told police his actions led to his family cutting ties with Spells and in turn the “life he was used to”.

He said his client had admitted the attack would have been “terrifying” for the officer and that his list of crimes was serious.

The presiding magistrate, Dzenita Balic, said Spells’ demise before the arrest was clearly caused by things having gone “significantly wrong”.

Ms Balic noted that Spells’ future remains promising as his mother makes efforts to reconnect with the 40-year-old.

Spells will be eligible for parole on April 13 next year.
