Former The Raspberries frontman Eric Carmen tied the knot with newsreader Amy in 2016 – her surname was previously Murphy and before that Hasten.
The couple remained married until his death, which was confirmed by Amy via his website on Monday.
His wife was previously a staff meteorologist at Cleveland station WKYC-TV3.
he left the Cleveland TV station after six years and set its sights on locations in Miami, Phoenix and Los Angeles Cleveland Magazine.
A talented news reporter, Amy eventually ended up on the FOX News team and even earned an Emmy and two additional nominations for her work at the 2002 Winter Olympics.

How many wives did Eric Carmen have?
During his life, the musician was married three times.
Eric first married Marcy Hill on October 31, 1978, but their marriage was short-lived and ended just a year later.
He then married Susan Brown in 1993 and the couple had two children – Clay and Kathryn – before splitting in 2009.
Amy and Eric walked down the aisle in 2016 and remained together until the songwriter passed away in 2024 at the age of 74.
The couple had no children together during their marriage.

On Monday, Amy shared the announcement of the former Raspberries frontman’s death on his website, but the exact cause of death is unknown at this time.
The statement read: “It is with immense sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of Eric Carmen’s passing.
‘Our sweet, loving and talented Eric passed away in his sleep this weekend. It brought him great joy to know that his music touched so many people for decades and will be his lasting legacy.
Amy asked fans to respect her request for privacy as she and his loved ones mourn their “tremendous loss.”

Actor Michael Des Barres wrote an emotional message, which read: ‘An outstanding songwriter, singer and performer.
‘He loved Steve Marriott and also pop music. He brought the two together and created something new…RIP, Eric Carmen.”
Singer John Editt shared a lengthy tribute as he responded to Eric’s death.
“It’s a sad day for my inner child, who is now in her late 40s,” he tweeted. ‘Rest in peace Eric Carmen and thank you for the Raspberries.’
