Gunfire erupts in Canley Vale: Sydney: NSW Police hunt for gang involved in home invasion

A group of masked men are said to have opened fire in a house and attacked a resident in a terrifying robbery.

Initial reports indicate the group broke into a house in Canley Vale, south-west Sydney, early on Tuesday morning.

NSW Police suspect the group attacked a 42-year-old man at the home before fleeing with cash in a black Audi Q5 SUV.

It is clear that fake license plates are being used on the luxury car.

The 42-year-old man was taken to Liverpool Hospital with a number of injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

According to police, the burglary does not appear to be gang-related.

No arrests have been made yet.
