Swapping the Hollywood Hills for the Peak District: A-list film stars Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell and Simon Pegg are spotted dining out and visiting local beauty spots in quintessential British town of Bakewell during Mission Impossible shoot

Hollywood A-listers Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell and Simon Pegg were spotted dining out in the quintessential British town of Bakewell as filming for the latest Mission Impossible film got underway.

Tom Cruise, 61, was pictured with the chef and manager of Lovage Restaurant in Derbyshire as cast and crew members enjoyed a night out in the small town.

The eatery shared the photo on their Instagram page and British actor Simon Pegg, 54, who plays technician and field agent Benji Dunn in the franchise, posted a selfie with cast and crew members – including Hayley Atwell – outside the venue.

British-American Atwell, 41, who plays a thief called Grace, also made a trip to Bamford Edge to enjoy the incredible views on a day off while filming Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two – the eighth film in the franchise.

And last week Tom was pictured with his hair grown out while filming a car chase scene in Middleton Mine, also in Derbyshire.

The restaurant, which serves a tenderloin for £40 and a halibut dish for £35, wrote on Instagram: ‘We were honored to share our food and hospitality with its cast and crew last week.

‘A truly humbling experience to have had such a friendly and genuine group of guests stay with us.

Cruise was kind enough to offer a photo of all of us and gave us permission to share it.

‘Thank you for choosing Lovage – we would love to welcome you all again! A special thank you to Mrs M and Mrs C for your wonderful visit and careful arrangement.’

Simon Pegg, who also starred in the British police comedy Hot Fuzz, shared a photo of himself with cast members outside the Bakewell restaurant on March 1.

He wrote, “Saving the world has never been more fun.”

Last Monday, Hayley, 41, who had her breakout role as Lady Elizabeth Foster in 2008’s The Duchess, took some time out to explore Peak District National Park and the stunning viewpoint at Bamford Edge.

She posted a video of herself sitting on the overhanging rock, which starts with a close-up of her face before zooming out to show the beautiful Derbyshire landscape.

Hayley wrote: ‘Friday. Beautiful in the north!’

Last Tuesday, Tom was pictured with longer than normal hair as he filmed a car chase for the new film in Middleton Mine last Tuesday.

Before that, he was last seen on February 7 at the Air Ambulance Charity Ball in London, where his hair appeared shorter and slicked back.

When shooting new scenes, Tom wore a black leather jacket as he took control of a battered open truck.

Film crews had been preparing for the big shoot in Derbyshire for about a week.

The scene at the disused mine involved a chase and an accident.

He was seen driving out of the mine at high speed and doing a very long skid, which put a smile on his face.

The A-list actor later fist-bumped some of the crew who had been working tirelessly since early morning to ensure the scene was executed safely.
