While the NFL Draft Combine allows teams to scout players for their skills, Hall of Famer and network analyst Cris Carter highlighted Sam Hartman for his appearance.

Carter called the Notre Dame quarterback a “male model” and the “most beautiful man” of the combine. The former wide receiver also pointed to Hartman’s hair and beard as setting him apart.

The NFL captured Carter hilariously praising Hartman for everything but his ability on the field. The league then shared the clip on its Instagram page on Wednesday.

“He’s definitely the hottest guy in the damn company,” Carter said of Hartman. ‘I sent my wife a picture of him. She says, “I thought you were working?”

“A male model, look at that guy, man. Look at him. He has wavy hair and a beard.”

“Look, look, look,” Carter said enthusiastically as he pointed to the video board and played Hartman’s 40-yard dash. “Isn’t that an advertisement?”

Carter wasn’t the only one with praise, as fans in the comments section called Hartman “gorgeous” and labeled him a “perfect specimen.”

“Why does he look like Jason Mamoa and Ryan Reynolds had a baby,” one user wrote.

Another user emphasized that Hartman “should be the first overall pick based solely on this.”

After two seasons at Wake Forest, Hartman played one year at Notre Dame before declaring for the draft. The Charlotte native threw for 2,689 yards and 24 touchdowns this past year and led the Fighting Irish to a 10-3 record.

Additionally, he is tied for the third-most touchdown passes in college football history with 134.

Hartman recorded a 4.80-second sprint, a 28.5-inch vertical jump, a 7.19 3-cone, 9 feet and an inch in his broad jump and 4.34 seconds in his 20-yard shuttle.

Hartman is expected to be a late pick in a class loaded with quarterback talent.
