Lake Illawarra: Urgent search launched for boy, 9, and his father as pictures emerge of fully loaded black SUV

Police have launched an appeal to find a boy and his father who have gone missing in the Lake Illawarra region of NSW.

Mason Simpson, aged nine, was last seen on Thursday, February 29, in Corkwood Street, Albion Park Rail – a suburb of Shellharbour. It is believed that he was in the company of his father, Leon.

The pair are believed to be in the Goulburn area and are driving a black Ford SUV with registration CA-51-CB.

Mason did not attend school for several days, with police and his family concerned for his welfare due to his young age.

Mason is described as white, approximately 140cm to 145cm tall, of medium build, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who has seen any of them or knows their whereabouts is asked to contact police through the Lake Illawarra Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
