The Aussie town where you can still buy a house for just $110,000
A two-bedroom house in one of Australia’s cheapest cities is selling for just $110,000.
The house in Pentland, about 250km south-west of Townsville, Queensland, sits on a huge 1,012m² plot.
The outback house has air conditioning, stone walls and a 1000 liter rainwater tank, but there is no stove in the kitchen.
The entire house is fully tiled and screened, the laundry room also has a separate shower and separate toilet.

A two-bedroom house in Pentland, about 250 kilometers southwest of Townsville, is currently one of the most affordable places in Queensland
Broker Andrew Jensen told the ABC the house is ‘very habitable’, but admits ‘it’s not the best’ in town.
Mr. Jensen said it is an old house, but he thinks the price tag is reasonable.
The property has an abundance of citrus and mango trees, grape vines and a macadamia tree with a watering system already in place, Mr Jenson said.
The house also has a large carport and a lockable shed.
Pentland, home to just 250 people, has amenities including a local shop, school, pub, swimming pool and a caravan pub.
The city was founded in the mid-1850s and became an important railway and communications hub during that period.
It is located in the Charters Tower region, where mining, and especially gold mining, remains a crucial sector, complemented by a robust agricultural industry, mainly focused on beef cattle production.
Charters Towers Mayor Frank Beveridge said a $110,000 Pentland property was a “bargain”.
