Raye leads the nominations for The Global Awards as she’s shortlisted in SIX categories after her record-breaking BRITs success

Global, the Media & Entertainment group, has unveiled the shortlists for The Global Awards 2024, which celebrates music and entertainment’s biggest stars across 15 categories.

Raye, 26, tops the nominations as she has been shortlisted in six categories following her record-breaking BRITs success this weekend.

International pop superstars Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo follow, with four nominations each, as do Calvin Harris, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Dave and Tate McRae.

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Tom Grennan, Miley Cyrus and Anne-Marie have been nominated in three categories respectively.

ABBA, Rod Stewart and Dolly Parton are just some of the icons nominated for the Global Legend category, while Blur, Nothing But Thieves and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are all up for Best Rock & Indie.

Podcasts shortlisted for The Global Awards include The News Agents, Big Fish with Spencer Matthews, The Rest Is Politics, Rachel Johnson’s Difficult Women, Filthy Ritual and The Wittering Whitehalls.

The Classical Music category includes teen singing sensation and Britain’s Got Talent star Malakai Bayoh, cellist Abel Selaocoe and organist and conductor Anna Lapwood.

Now in its seventh year in a row, the Global Awards brings together all of Global’s radio stations, including Capital, Heart, Smooth Radio, Classic FM, Radio X, Capital XTRA, Capital Dance and Gold, as well as Global Player.

The winners will be announced on Friday, March 22, 2024 via Global radio stations and on Global Player.
