Salma Hayek, 57, exposes her cleavage in a plunging silver bustier as she poses backstage at Alexander McQueen’s Paris Fashion Week show

Salma Hayek turned heads from both the back and the front during a glamorous appearance during Paris Fashion Week on Saturday evening.

The Mexican-American actress, 57, sat front row as British fashion house Alexander McQueen unveiled their Fall-Winter 2024 collection at the biennial event.

But she took the opportunity to pose for some striking photos on social media after venturing backstage with her husband, French businessman François-Henri Pinault.

The Hollywood star inevitably turned heads in a cleavage-accentuating silver bustier worn under a striking black trouser suit as she met new McQueen designer Sean McGirr.

The look was accentuated by rich makeup, while her dark hair was styled with a conventional center parting.

Hayek was in good company on Saturday evening, while the latest McQueen extravaganza was also attended by actresses Noomi Rapace, Samantha Morton and Juliette Binoche.

Labeled “Raw Opulence” and aiming to “reveal the animal within,” McGirr’s first foray resonated with Alexander McQueen’s core principles: a fusion of gothic allure, a provocation, an ode to historic fashion and the brand. The hallmark of dramatic customization.

The show unfolded with a model emerging from the shadows in a sinister twisted black laminated dress that seemed to swallow her hands whole – a striking image of oppression that was echoed throughout the collection.

This unifying theme was reflected in cords that wrapped around narrow-leg jeans and rugged boots that turned into horse hooves, trailing tails and ominous wide leather jackets.

However, designs occasionally bordered on the obvious, with period Renaissance patterned sleeve dresses and voluminous ‘car tire’-style knitwear lacking the subtlety associated with its predecessor.

While the collection shone with promising moments of daring, McGirr preferred a play-it-safe approach to risking a misstep by pushing the boundaries.

Nevertheless, amid the collection’s somber musings, a surprising undercurrent of delight and whimsy emerged, especially as the compelling melody of fellow countryman Enya’s ‘Sail Away’ filled the air.

It imbued the space with a vibrant optimism that subtly reflected in McGirr’s often playful creations.

Hayek, who sat front row at the show, has attended a series of presentations in Paris over the past week.

She also attended the Gucci show during Milan Fashion Week, where she was once again joined by her billionaire husband.

Pinault is the chairman and CEO of Kering, the luxury goods company that owns Gucci and other high-profile brands including Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen.
