Shocking moment dog savagely mauls cat to death ‘after owner lifted animal over gate then stood back as attack unfolded’

This is the moment a dog brutally kills a cat after the owner allegedly ‘lifted the dog over the fence’ to ‘facilitate the attack’.

Disturbing video footage shows a medium-sized dog being helped over a fence by its owner before launching its brutal attack on a cat and chasing it through the residential area.

The owner appears to be standing behind the gate, in Harvest Court, Halifax, watching the attack unfold.

After about sixty seconds, the dog runs back to its owner, while a woman who lives in one of the buildings comes out of her house to investigate.

Ameena Islam, a friend of the cat owner, shared the footage on social media and said the cat died of “internal bleeding” 30 minutes after the attack.

In one message, she claimed the dog was “loose” and the owner “callously watched the attack unfold.”

Ameena claimed: ‘In the opening of the video it is clear that the owner deliberately lifted his dog over the fence, apparently to facilitate the attack on the cat. It is disgusting to subject a defenseless cat to such cruelty, ultimately resulting in its tragic demise.

‘If anyone witnessed the incident, has clear CCTV footage or recognizes the dog, please message me and share this video.’

West Yorkshire Police have been contacted for comment.
