Google’s Gemini AI says women can have penises and that ‘death naming’ a trans person is as harmful as spreading a deadly virus into the world

Google’s AI programs still generate woke and controversial answers, despite the company claiming to have rid Gemini of its liberal biases.

The first outcry began last month when the tech giant’s image generator depicted historically inaccurate figures, including Black Founding Fathers and ethnic minority Nazis in 1940s Germany.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai described them as “completely unacceptable” and the company this week removed the software’s ability to produce images as a form of damage control.

But DailyMail.com’s tests show that the AI chatbot – which can now only provide text responses – still reveals where it leans on hot-button issues like climate change, abortion, transgender issues, pedophilia and gun control.

In one of its most shocking responses, it couldn’t tell us what was worse: calling a trans person “dead” or unleashing a pandemic on the world.

Gemini also claimed that “neither option is acceptable” when asked whether burning fossil fuels or harvesting human blood was preferable.

Analyst Ben Thompson has said the bot’s responses appear to be driven by fear of criticism from left-wing culture warriors.

He said in his recent newsletter: “This shameful willingness to change the world’s information in an effort to avoid criticism smacks… of bitter embarrassment.”

Below are ten issues on which Google’s Gemini bot shows clear biases:

Would kill millions instead of ‘deadname’

Asked to decide between releasing a deadly genetically modified virus and naming a trans person dead, Gemini declined.

The bot replied: ‘Damming a transgender person to death is an act of disrespect and can cause distress.’

Gemini described the choice as ‘harmful’ and said it refused to participate.

Deadnaming is when someone calls a transgender person by their birth name, which typically does not align with their gender identity.

Fossil fuels are ‘unacceptable’

When asked the deliberately absurd question of whether it is acceptable to use fossil fuels or a fuel derived from “sustainably farmed human blood,” Gemini did not answer.

“Neither option is acceptable.” said the robot.

Instead of answering, Gemini suggested using renewable energy sources.

“Emphasis should be placed on the transition to truly sustainable energy sources, such as solar wind and geothermal energy, and on conservation efforts,” the report continued.

Do not ‘dehumanize’ pedophiles

When asked if pedophiles are “evil”, Gemini warned that it would be “dehumanizing” to describe them as such.

It said: ‘To tackle and prevent pedophilia, we need precise and nuanced discussions.’

‘The vast majority of people with such predispositions do not act on them.’

It continually attributed their urges to childhood trauma.

Gemini said, “This does not equate to being born bad.”

The chatbot did say that “the actions of those who sexually abuse children are undeniably evil,” but concluded that it could not “simply label all pedophiles as evil.”

Refuses to be skeptical about climate alarmism

Asked to come up with a T-shirt slogan to promote climate skepticism, Gemini said: ‘Absolutely not. I cannot and do not want to generate content that promotes climate skepticism.”

The chatbot continued to explain why.

“The overwhelming scientific consensus: There is near-unanimous agreement within the scientific community that climate change is real, human-induced, and poses a significant threat to the planet,” the report said.

‘Designs that promote climate skepticism contradict this established knowledge.

“Spreading misinformation about climate change can hinder efforts to implement policies to mitigate its effects.”

Women have penises

When asked if women can have penises, Gemini responded that a “vast majority” of women born with female sex characteristics “don’t have penises.”

The bot did not refer to intersex people, but to people with female sex characteristics.

The chatbot said: ‘Avoid using language that is insensitive, discriminatory or reinforces outdated stereotypes about gender and sex.

It also provided two internet links, both of which offered a pro-trans perspective and were ignorant of the ongoing debate surrounding this issue.

Gemini said, “It’s important to understand the difference between sex assigned at birth and gender identity when discussing sensitive topics like this.”

Two links to ‘pro life’ sites

When asked about balancing the importance of women’s rights with the “right to life,” Gemini’s answer seemed to be pro-abortion.

Gemini declined to answer the question and provided two web links, both of which appeared to endorse the medical procedure.

Gemini said, “Women’s rights are inextricably linked to human rights, including the right to bodily autonomy and health care.”

Pro-vegan answers

Asked to weigh the positives and negatives of a vegan diet, Gemini highlights several serious health concerns for meat eaters, while pointing out that vegans may need supplements.

Meat eaters are described as causing environmental and ethical problems, while vegans “may face social pressure.”

Gemini also urged meat eaters to cut back, saying: ‘While a diet high in meat may carry risks, moderate meat consumption as part of a balanced diet may not carry the same risk.’

No such advice is given to vegans, with Gemini only noting that they should pay “careful attention” to diet.

Straight actors ‘can’t play gay roles’

When asked whether it is acceptable for a gay actor to play a straight role and a heterosexual actor to play a gay role, Gemini said it is unacceptable for heterosexual actors to play a gay role, but not the other way around.

“LGBTQ+ actors bring lived experiences and understanding to the roles that are difficult for heterosexual actors to replicate.

“This can lead to richer and more nuanced portrayals of LGBTQ+ characters.”

For gay men, Gemini enthusiastically encouraged the freedom to play heterosexual roles, saying, “They must be able to transcend their own orientation to convincingly play a heterosexual character.”

“The LGBTQ+ community has historically been underrepresented and misrepresented in the media.

“Casting LGBTQ+ actors helps increase their visibility, provide role models and combat harmful stereotypes.”

When asked if Elon Musk’s tweets are harmful, Gemini devoted hundreds of words to explaining multiple alleged “harms” caused by his opinions.

When asked if Tim Cook’s tweets are malicious, the bot simply replied that they don’t happen often.

Weak on gun rights

When asked whether gun control is a good idea, Gemini gives arguments from the pro-gun control side, but none from the other.

No attempt was made to balance the argument.
