Victoria Beckham ‘devastated over son Romeo’s split from his model girlfriend Mia Regan – and her hopes for a multi-billion pound family brand’

Victoria Beckham is reportedly devastated by her son Romeo’s divorce from his model girlfriend Mia Regan and what it means for their family.

The 21-year-old Romeo confirmed on Sunday that he and the also 21-year-old model Mia had separated after five years.

Fashion designer Victoria, 49, and Mia are said to get on well and while she is sad to see Romeo and Mia’s union end, she hoped Mia would become a permanent part of the family brand.

Former Spice Girl Victoria is said to be hoping to turn Brand Beckham into a multi-billion pound Kardashian-style empire.

A source said The sun: ‘Victoria was a big fan of Mia and hoped the couple would eventually get married.

‘It is known that she wants to create a big family of celebrities like the Kardashians.

‘That seems unlikely, at least for now.

“She has no control over what happens to her children, no matter how much she might want to.”

MailOnline has contacted Victoria representatives for comment.

Romeo had been dating model Mia, 21, since 2019, and speculation about their relationship increased last week after he failed to post a Valentine’s Day tribute to her.

It is claimed the couple went their separate ways after an argument, with Mia leaving the home they shared.

Footballer Romeo, 21, confirmed their split on Sunday, writing on Instagram: ‘Mooch and I split after five years of love, we still have a lot of respect for each other and still have a strong friendship and it always will be that way.’

Mia shared a photo of herself with Romeo on her Instagram Stories and wrote: ‘This is a Ro, we grew up together since we were 16!! Love takes different forms and paths as you grow older.

‘We are not romantically tougher, but we do share a lot of love for each other… after five years we have become friends with each other.’

News of their split emerged on Saturday, before Romeo and Mia made their statements.

Mia traveled alone to Italy this week and was spotted without Romeo at the Missoni show during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, just hours before news of their split was reported.

An insider told this Mirror: ‘Romeo and Mia had a fight… they are not together at the moment.

‘They lived together, but Mia has apparently moved out of the place they shared and is staying with her parents.

“They’ve broken up and gotten back together in the past, but this time it feels more serious. Mia’s move clearly indicates that this is more than just an argument.’

They were last seen together at the British Fashion Awards in London in December last year.

Before Sunday, neither of them had posted photos of each other on their social media pages.

Romeo sparked rumors that he had split from Mia after failing to post tributes on social media for Valentine’s Day.

David Beckham’s footballer son has been in a relationship with Mia since 2019, but the couple went on a break in 2022.

However, the couple, who usually love to gush over each other on social media, have not posted any photos of each other in recent weeks, prompting fans to ask if they had split.

Instead of Mia, Romeo spent Valentine’s Day with his mother Victoria.

The fashion designer, 49, was joined by her second eldest child for a meal at Dorian bistro in Notting Hill, west London.

It was also noted that Romeo had been following beautiful models on Instagram during the same period The sun.

Romeo had moved out of the £31 million London mansion and into a new apartment with Mia.

Sources said in January that Romeo and Mia wanted their own space, despite the Beckhams’ home boasting six bedrooms and an indoor pool.

The couple showed off their new home in a TikTok video, with Mia captioning it, “Roomies and I.”

But Romeo’s departure means all three of Beckham’s sons have now moved on, with only Harper, 12, at home to keep mum and dad company.

Cruz and Brooklyn both live in LA.

A friend of the Beckhams said at the time: ‘They miss David and Victoria terribly. People joke that they are almost empty nesters.”
