Rory McIlroy teases an action-packed season with all the drama in his opening line
“It’s been a great year in golf,” McIlroy opens the trailer with a wry chuckle.
Featuring behind-the-scenes interviews from players from both sides of the battle and even PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan himself, Full Swing will follow the golf world as it navigates the merger, including LIV rebels who come face to face with their former colleagues for the first time in the big league.
The new season will also follow Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Dahmen and Tom Kim as they navigate the highs and lows of the sport, especially in a Ryder Cup year.
Season 2 will delve into the intense rivalry between Europe and the US at the tournament, with a behind-the-scenes shot of Shane Lowry jokingly asking if they can “slaughter the Americans.”
The sixth, penultimate and final episode of Full Swing will chronicle all of Marco Simone’s action last fall, as Europe dominated the US in Rome.
It hints that it will hit the cap gate and McIlroy’s heated parking garage, but it also appears to explore the pressure ahead of the storied tournament, with players vying for the choice of captain from American Zach Johnson and the European Luke Donald.
The final two episodes of the season will be devoted to the details of the 2023 Ryder Cup
McIlroy returns to the spotlight for ‘The Game Has Changed, Pt. 1.’ Dahmen, a fan favorite from Season 1, returns in Episode 3, titled “Mind Game.”
Meanwhile, Tom Kim (“Prove It”), Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick (“In The Shadows”) and Thomas (“Pick Six”) will be spotlighted as the season progresses.
It will culminate in a two-part grand finale detailing the Ryder Cup, in episodes entitled All Roads Lead to Rome, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2.
After a year of covering the four majors, the June 6 bombshell and an explosive Ryder Cup, the Full Swing Season 2 trailer packs more drama than ever.
