Swifties outraged to learn free tickets were being given away minutes before Taylor Swift’s Sydney concerts
Fans of Taylor Swift have shared their anger after hearing dozens of tickets were being given away for free to the pop star’s concerts in Sydney.
The tickets – many for first-class seats – were handed out minutes before and even during the show at the Accor Stadium to hopeful fans waiting outside.
Some were given away by Taylor Nation, a fan group known for handing out free concert tickets to Swifties who missed it, but some were reportedly given away by venue staff and even members of the pop star’s entourage.
Video circulating online shows members of Taylor Nation surrounded by hopeful fans this weekend as they hand out free tickets.
Several people said they were approached outside the venue and given tickets for good seats by mysterious men in black shirts.

Other fans discovered that tickets were available for purchase via Ticketek’s original lounge link shortly before and even during the concert, despite being sold out on Ticketek’s main website.
All of this has angered Swifties who missed it.
‘Why on earth is Ticketek holding tickets so close to the concert?!’ someone asked on TikTok.
“Ticketek really needs an investigation into how they royally screwed up this entire tour,” said another.

‘You are joking!! I couldn’t even get through the buffering on each release. So unfair. Ticketek has a lot to answer for,” someone else commented.

“We got tickets five minutes before the show started but there were so many empty seats in A reserve and all around us for the entire show,” someone else wrote.
“Yes, I went on Friday and there were tons of empty seats, seats in the lower bowl, bleachers and even on the floor. I was shocked,” someone else said.

“The thing is, Ticketek didn’t drop the tickets, one of Taylor’s entourage members just handed them out to people,” one person said.
“Apparently it was Taylor Nation that was handing them out so they probably had a set allocation for the Sydney shows,” said another.
