Taylor Swift fans slam ‘inappropriate’ X-rated lyrics during Australian leg of her Eras tour
Taylor Swift fans have shared their shock over some X-rated lyrics during the Australian leg of her Eras tour.
The global megastar, 34, has performed to sold-out crowds in Sydney and Melbourne over the past two weeks, with support act Sabrina Carpenter kicking off the show each night.
Sabrina, 24, performed her popular song Nonsense during each set, but put an Australian twist on the famous outro lines, performing a different variation during each show.
Some fans are shocked by the increasingly harsh nature of the words and criticize her for singing “inappropriate” lyrics in front of young fans.
The original outro reads: ‘This song is catchier than chicken pox. I bet your house is where my other sock is. I woke up this morning thinking I was going to write a pop hit. How fast can you take off your clothes – pop quiz?’

However, during one of her shows in Melbourne, she sang: “I don’t say ‘hello’, I say ‘g’day mate’ / I don’t make a crowd, I’m a lightweight / Melbourne, I just came, I saw and I ate.” ‘
They’ve become increasingly risky since she started performing on the Eras tour, but one of her latest variations in Sydney left some fans unimpressed.
She sang, “When you go down under, do you miss me? He’s so big I felt it in my kidney and screamed so loud they heard it here in Sydney.’
Some fans took to social media to share their disapproval, arguing that the lyrics were “inappropriate” to sing to children.

“Chill, there are kids in the audience,” one wrote, while another said the song was “disgusting.”
‘Oh dear. There are children there, Lord, have mercy. Spicy is one thing, saying it’s so big I felt it in my kidneys is inappropriate,” another added.
But others flocked to support the singer and shared their amusement at the X-rated move.
“It just keeps getting better and better,” said one, while another mused: “She really has a talent for this.” She is clever with words.”
