Americans stunned Aussies are allowed to bring one surprising item into Taylor Swift concerts
An American Swiftie has pointed out the huge difference between what fans are allowed to bring to Taylor Swift’s Australian concerts compared to her US shows.
TikTok star Molly Halter said she was surprised to see Aussie Swifties bringing non-transparent bags to the shows.
‘I watch the Eras Tour Australia and I think, ‘Why don’t they have to carry clear bags?’ she asked in a video on social media.
Halter suggested Australia’s more lenient rules could be due to the country’s strict gun laws.
“Because they don’t have gun problems.”

Many of Molly’s Australian followers quickly took to the comments section to debate her theory.
“I think it’s because guns aren’t legal here,” one Australian follower wrote, with a second adding: “I’m Australian and it never occurred to me why you needed clear bags.”
While Molly claims Australia has a more lenient concert admission policy, other American Swifties earlier this week condemned the country as a “police state.”

A clip of Taylor performing on stage with the message in the background sparked outrage on the social media site over the weekend.
“Australia is a police state,” one American X user wrote, alongside the original video and a screenshot with the offending sign circled.
“I saw that, it made my hair stand on end,” replied another, while another interjected: “They gave up their guns and are now paying for them.”
Swift performed the third of her four Sydney concerts at Accor Stadium on Sunday evening, following successful performances on Friday and Saturday, and will take the stage for the final time on Monday evening.
