Footy fans will get a blast from the past at Las Vegas double header as the NRL reveals which Aussie act is performing the national anthem
- Aussies invade glitter strip for games at Allegiant Stadium
- Be treated to musical entertainment from Down Under
- One major Australian musician will not be at the games
Aussies traveling to Las Vegas for the NRL season’s historic double header will get a blast from the past at Allegiant Stadium with local superstars from the late 1990s and early 2000s performing at the event.
Members of hit boyband Human Nature will join Souths and Manly to perform the national anthem for the clashes between Brisbane and the Roosters, while early 2000s EDM stars The Stafford Brothers will perform at half-time.
Human Nature brothers Andrew and Mike Tierney will kick off the show, singing both the Australian and American national anthems, providing a touch of nostalgia for traveling Australians.
Formed in 1989 as 4 Trax while at Hurlstone Agricultural High in Sydney, the original line-up included Toby Allen, Phil Burton and the Tierney brothers.
They initially gained recognition for their smooth harmonies and vocal skills, drawing inspiration from Motown and pop music.

The band initially found success in Australia, but gained international fame when they signed to Sony Music in 1995.
Their breakthrough came with the release of the album ‘Telling Everybody’ in 1996, which featured hit singles such as ‘Wishes’ and ‘Don’t Say Goodbye’.
They achieved significant success in Las Vegas with their residency at The Venetian Resort, where they performed classic Motown hits in their show “Human Nature: The Motown Show.”
The quarter turned three in 2021 when Burton made the shock announcement that he was stepping away from the group after more than 30 years.
Burton said he would still perform with the group when they return to Australia for shows, but will not return to Vegas after the Covid-19 pandemic made him reassess his priorities.
‘Covid has thrown things into stark reality – where do you want to be? Where do you feel at home? And in Australia we felt safest as a family,” he said.
Rabbitohs players met The Kid Laroi (pictured), a major South Sydney supporter, but the Australian rapper and singer will not be able to attend the games on March 2.
The Stafford Brothers are an Australian DJ and production duo consisting of Matt and Chris Stafford.
The brothers started their career in the early 2000s and gained recognition for their energetic DJ sets and remixes.
They received widespread acclaim with songs like ‘Hello’ and ‘Where Is the Love’, showcasing their ability to combine different EDM genres.
The Stafford Brothers had a significant impact in Australia and made a successful transition to the international stage, especially in the United States.
They became the first Australians to sign a Las Vegas residency deal, cementing their status in the global EDM scene.
Meanwhile, South Sydney stars met Australian star Kid Laroi in the United States, with the rapper and singer admitting he had always been a Bunnies supporter.
“I grew up in Waterloo and the Rabbitohs are in my blood,” he said.
“I love what the team stands for and am excited that people in the US will have the opportunity to see them play live in Las Vegas next weekend.”
Unfortunately for Kid Laroi’s fans, he will not be able to perform or attend the NRL matches due to previous scheduling commitments.
