Crowd goes wild as Taylor Swift’s backup dancer quotes a classic Australian film at the second Sydney show of the Eras tour

One of Taylor Swift’s artists has quoted a classic Australian film on the second night of her Sydney Eras tour.

Dancer Kameron Saunders sang “Tell Him He’s Dreaming,” quoting the iconic line that Michael Caton made famous in the 1997 film The Castle.

The 80,000 fans at the Accor Stadium erupted in laughter at the reference, which came during Taylor’s performance of We Are Never Getting Back Together.

With each performance of the song, Taylor, 33, hands the microphone to Saunders to quote a different line known to local audiences.

During the shows in Melbourne, the dancer sang phrases such as ‘ja, nah’ and ‘naur’.

Swifties on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) were grateful.

“Kam is officially an honorary Australian,” one user wrote, while another simply wrote, “Iconic.”

“My love for you is increasing day by day,” a third wrote.

While another expressed their admiration, writing: ‘Come please, you’re amazing!’

On the same night, a happy Swiftie shared an adorable moment with his idol during the show.

Taylor has established a tradition of giving a signed hat to a lucky fan in the crowd while she sings her song, 22.

A young boy was seen singing along and dancing vigorously as he was invited on stage to receive the special gift from the pop megastar.

Swifties on social media were quick to respond positively to the young boy’s enthusiasm.

“Awwww, the kid who received the 22 hat tonight had the absolute time of his life,” wrote one X (formerly Twitter) user.

‘The 22 hat tonight!! How cute!!’ wrote another.

“He’s an icon,” one wrote, while another noted that “he feels it,” and a third said, “he’s everything!”

“I know adult fans want the 22 hat, but there’s something about kids getting it and seeing the core memories happen in real time that’s so healing,” another X user mused.
