Harry and Meghan ‘may be worried they are being eased out of the Royal Family’ after website change

Harry and Meghan may worry about being removed from the royal family after being moved to the bottom of the Palace website alongside disgraced Prince Andrew, a royal biographer has claimed.

Links leading readers to pages devoted to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had previously been posted halfway down the page – below senior royals and above underage members of the family.

But after the webpage was updated following the Queen’s death earlier this month, Harry and Meghan have moved downstairs, as have Princess Alexandra and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

Prince Michael of Kent and his wife Marie-Christine, neither of whom are royals, have been completely removed from the page.

“Harry and Meghan should be concerned that they are slowly disappearing from the royal picture,” said royal biographer Phil Dampier. The sun.

“King Charles seems reluctant to grant the titles of Prince and Princess to Archie and Lilibet.

“And the fact that they’ve been “demoted” on the Palace website is another indicator that they’re not seen as working royals.”

It comes at a time when King Charles is reportedly planning a “downsized” monarchy during his reign, believing that the public won’t pay for an ever-expanding royal family.

Meanwhile, Princess Alexandra, the Duke of Kent and the Duke of Gloucester, the Queen’s cousins, all remain on the page as they are still working members.

The Kents have carried out more than 200 public engagements, all funded by the Prince’s own household, as opposed to the taxpayers.

The Sussexes were first moved down about 15 months ago, having previously been under the Prince and Princess of Wales, to below the Wessexes and the Princess Royal.

It follows allegations that the Queen was forced to put her foot above Megxit and told the Sussexes they were “either in or out” at the crunch Sandringham summit where the royals decided Harry and Meghan’s future.

The explosive excerpts from the forthcoming book, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown by Valentine Low, were published by: The times.

Dampier thinks King Charles and the Prince of Wales may also ‘feel the same way’.

Mr Low wrote that it was the monarch himself who felt that unless the couple were willing to abide by the rules that apply to all working royals, they “should not be allowed to perform official duties”.

“There was a very clear picture: you can’t go in and out,” a source told Mr Low. “And when you have such a clear view, it’s very hard to say, ‘Why don’t we go 10 percent this way instead of 20 percent?'”

This meant that the compromise was taken off the table by the queen, the author said.

Dampier believes the website change will make it clear that the Sussexes are not royals “and cannot impersonate semi-official royals”.

Obviously, the changes to the website now reflect roles within the royal family, as opposed to the line of succession.

Royal biographer Angela Levin said the change shows what Harry and Meghan “don’t do” and how it is valued in the royal family.

The couple is still waiting for their two children to receive the titles prince and princess.

After the death of the Queen, the children of Sussex are entitled to Prince and Princess and the titles of HRH as the Sovereign’s grandchildren.

But while William and Kate’s titles have been updated to Prince and Princess of Wales, Archie and Lilibet’s have not changed.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: ‘Live updating on a website doesn’t quite work. We will work on updating the website as soon as we get information.”
