Former Millwall boss Neil Harris will return to the club to fill the vacant managerial role following the sacking of Joe Edwards, according to reports.
Millwall parted ways with Edwards after a dismal run of six defeats in seven games saw the club drop to 21st in the table, just one point above the relegation zone.
Harris, the club’s record goalscorer and manager for four years between 2015 and 2019, is being touted as the No. 1 candidate to replace Edwards.
Harris is expected to sign an 18-month contract with Millwall and will be tasked with saving the Championship side from relegation. The independent.

Harris – who took charge of Cambridge in December – is expected to leave the club soon and bring in David Livermore as his assistant.
Harris is regarded as a club hero at Millwall – he has become their all-time top scorer, scoring 138 times in 431 appearances for the Den.
