Moo-ve over! Farmer left stunned after finding five of his cows making themself comfy on his sofa after wandering away from the rest of the herd

This is the moment a farmer was left confused by his herd of cows after five of them decided to come in from the cold and snuggle up on his sofa.

Michael Andrew was coming in after a long day in the fields when he saw an unexpected surprise through the window.

The 19-year-old had hoped to unwind in his living room by playing an Xbox, when he noticed a light was on inside.

The farmer appears in shock as he begins recording the debacle, which includes visible cows.

And it seems like the chaos is already beginning to unfold: one brown cow takes a nap on the leather couch, while the others rest their heads on the couch or the counter, depending on their height.

There is mud and debris everywhere and objects, including weights, are strewn across the floor.

The cattle seem surprisingly calm, perhaps playing cool to hide their guilt, as their owner pushes open the glass door.

Michael repeats the words “oh my God” as he comes to terms with the bovine chaos.

Meanwhile, a cunning cow hides behind his friends in a vain attempt to get away with the crime.

According to the farmer, the cows had managed to let themselves in, close the door behind them and turn on the light in the room.

The cattle are sometimes housed indoors when it is warm or wet outside. Some studies show that about one in five cows in the country are kept away from the elements in the spring.

In 2021, a report from Nature suggested there were ‘psychological benefits’ of cows being given access to open pastures.

Michael’s flock disagreed and apparently wanted a change from the wild world outside.

As the camera pans around the ransacked room, the extent of the damage becomes clear with a ladder lying on the floor and a cauldron thrown over the counter.

The video ends with Michael making the sarcastic comment, “I love cows.”
