Earlier in the day, Sportico reported that the NBA is on pace to break records for attendance and sold-out games.

During the All-Star break, attendance is up 2 percent from last season, and the 524 sold-out editions are on track to surpass the record of 791, the report said.

Both records were set in 2022-2023, when the total number of visitors was 22.2 million.

Jonathan Tillman, the league’s head of team marketing and business operations, told Sportico that the first season tournament and final standings in the Western Conference increased the number of fans through the turnstiles.
