Tragedy as two young girls are killed in horror highway crash after car lost control and slammed into a tree

Two young girls have tragically died in a horrific accident after the car they were traveling in crashed into a tree.

The accident happened shortly after 11am on Sunday on the Great Eastern Highway in Carrabin, between Merredin and Southern Cross in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.

WA Police, St John Ambulance and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended the crash site.

“Upon arrival at the scene, it was confirmed that the vehicle was a white Toyota Camry sedan, which had left the road and crashed into a tree,” the police statement said.

‘Tragically, two seven-year-old girls died at the scene.’

The female driver, 31, was taken by ambulance to Merredin Hospital.
