Tiger Woods has started in the second round of the Genesis Invitational, with the 15-time major champion hoping to take home the prize at the tournament he helps organize.
Woods is hovering around the cut line after shooting a round of one-over-par 72 yesterday – punctuated by a hard shaft on the 18th hole at Riviera Country Club.
The 48-year-old put that down to a back spasm, dropping his club almost immediately after making contact.
Woods decided to pay tribute to the clothing he wore during his very first PGA event, which he played on the same course in 1992.
After inking a deal with TaylorMade and launching his own brand – Sun Day Red – Woods showed up on court wearing a polo with the same pattern and colors as when he was 16 years old and playing with a sponsor exemption.

Woods missed the cut in that tournament – something he hopes not to repeat.
But he is in danger of doing just that, with the projected cut-line at one over, the exact score he had going into the second round.
He started off strong, birdieing the par-5 first hole, followed by back-to-back pars on holes two and three.
It’s a better start than yesterday, when he made the first birdie, but bogeyed holes two and three.
Woods began to struggle with his back problems when he bogeyed the fourth and fifth holes and fell below the cut line.
