Roy Hodgson’s press conference ahead of Crystal Palace’s match against Everton on Monday has been canceled after the 76-year-old fell ill during training.
The experienced Premier League manager was due to speak to the media at 1.30pm today as the club prepares for his second spell as manager.
Mail Sport previously revealed Palace decision-makers will end Hodgson’s second spell at Selhurst Park amid worrying form.
However, the club has revealed that he fell ill during morning training and is now unable to attend the usual press conference with the media.
The media meeting was due to take place at 1.30pm, with Palace providing an update on Hodgson’s condition just 35 minutes in advance.

There has been no further communication about what has happened to Hodgson and whether he will be fit to take charge of Palace for their upcoming trip to Goodison Park.
Worryingly, this is the second time in a few months that Hodgson has been in poor health, having previously missed Palace’s 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa on September 16.
That occasion led to Hodgson withdrawing from his matchday duties after struggling the morning of the match as he took time to recover.
Assistants Paddy McCarthy and Ray Lewington oversaw the match in his absence and could do so again if Hodgson is unwell to return in time for Monday.
The former England manager quickly recovered from his health problems on that occasion and took his place back in the dugout for Palace’s next match against Fulham.
Hodgson is currently the Premier League’s oldest manager and appears set to retire permanently in 2022 after an unsuccessful short spell at Watford.
However, he was brought back to Selhurst Park for a second term and was tasked with saving Palace from relegation when Patrick Vieira was sacked from his first Premier League role.
