Say it with campaign contributions. Former President Donald Trump has written a Valentine’s Day letter to former first lady Melania Trump, thanking her for her support through indictment and arrest — and asking her supporters to add their own kind words and cash.

“If you love Melania, I humbly ask you to leave a few kind words for her below!” asks Trump, in an unusual fundraising campaign launched by his Save America PAC Joint Fundraising Committee, authorized by his campaign.

The letter refers to the four criminal trials that Trump labels a “witch hunt.” He will be back in New York on Thursday for his civil fraud trial. Love will also be in the air in Georgia that day as a judge hears evidence about the “personal relationship” between the Fulton County district attorney and one of her prosecutors that could blow up Trump’s prosecution there.

“Dear Melania,” Trump begins. 'I LOVE YOU! Even after every indictment, arrest and witch hunt, you have never left my side. You have always supported me in everything.' “I wouldn't be the man I am today without your guidance, kindness and warmth. You will always mean the world to me, Melania!' Trump tells her.

It comes after Melania was back in public at Mar-a-Lago following the death of her mother, Amalija. While she may have provided emotional support, Melania was not physically with Trump during a series of iconic moments as he fights 91 charges in his criminal charges. That includes his police shooting in Georgia, his appearances in federal court in DC in connection with the January 6 indictment, and developments in his classified documents case and his prosecution in New York in connection with payments to Stormy Daniels.

The request also comes after Trump said Melania would be “active” in his campaign. Supporters are asked to leave a “personalized message” and can contribute in amounts ranging from $20.24 to $3,300.

Another request from Trump through the PAC asks supporters, “Will you send me a letter?” and also refers to the “witch hunt” and efforts to remove him from the ballot in Colorado and other states. From all signs, there isn’t much love lost between Trump and his chief rival Nikki Haley, who continues to harp on his age and mental fitness even as she hounds him in her home state.

“Roses are red, violets are blue, I love dictators, and they love me too!” reads an email from her press shop. ‘Happy Valentine’s Day from Donald Trump to dictators around the world! Over the years, Trump has professed his love for the world’s most brutal dictators and praised their strength and leadership qualities,” the message said.
