Jason Kelce lifts the lid on his wild Super Bowl week in Las Vegas… as he insists he DIDN’T shout out at Adele’s show, talks about THAT photoshopped Hangover image – and hints that he won a LOT of money in the casinos!
Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce recapped his wild week of partying and celebrating leading up to the Super Bowl that his brother Travis ultimately won.
In the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, the Kelce brothers talked about their journey to Sin City.
Jason went as a spectator and praised the experience as being unlike any other Super Bowl he had attended before.
“It’s the best I’ve been to as an audience member,” Jason said during the show. “When you play the game, you don’t get a chance to participate in the festivities.
“But Vegas is… if there’s a city better suited to hosting something like this than Vegas, I haven’t been there yet.
Jason Kelce praised Las Vegas’ handling of the Super Bowl after enjoying himself
“It’s pretty crazy. The parties are all centrally located, there’s so much to do, the kind of people that are in Vegas, it’s all about having fun and it didn’t disappoint.”
A husky Jason admitted that while he was having a good time in town, “probably a little longer than I would have liked.”
“I think Vegas… there’s a 48-hour rule, maybe a 72-hour rule… to be there from Tuesday to Monday, almost a full week, was a lot. Lots of Vegas, I think everyone can hear that.
‘I’m not a big gambler, so I don’t go to Vegas very often. I think the last time I was there was before Ky and I were even married, like in 2015.”
But while he’s not typically one to dabble in slots, craps or card games, Jason said he had a big win and thanked a certain talisman for his success.
“I had the gold cup with me the whole time,” Jason revealed. ‘It was a chip holder, a cup of liquids, a wallet, a koozie, that served many purposes…
“If I ever go back to Vegas, I’ll take it with me because it turned out to be a good luck charm because everything was right.” I mean everything.
Off the casino floor, Jason said he attended a number of music performances: “Went to the Sphere, saw U2, saw Adele, you know it was a very special trip.”
Jason said he won a lot during his week in Vegas and thanked this gold cup for his luck
Outside of the game, he also took on numerous musical acts before joining Taylor Swift
Although he enjoyed the U2 show and spoke highly of the Sphere as a venue, he admitted: ‘Musically, I’m probably a bigger fan of Adele than U2… I like the power ballads… and the voice from Adele. is so incredibly powerful.”
Jason then went on to set the record after it was reported that he was a clip of someone shouting ‘EAGLES’ on the Adele show. He called those reports “fake news” and clarified the situation.
“There’s a video of the guys behind us, Eagles fans, and they saw I was at the Adele concert and they were excited. And Adele asked who was a fan of anything and they shouted “EAGLES”. And everyone says I shouted ‘EAGLES’, I didn’t shout ‘EAGLES’.’
That wasn’t the only thing wrongly attributed to him that Jason took issue with after a viral photo of him dressed as Alan from the movie ‘The Hangover’ hit social media. Jason clarified that no, he did not dress up as Zach Galifianakis’ character from the hit film franchise.
“Don’t you have the ability to tell that this is the exact same clip? It’s the same person! It’s crazy, I don’t know, people are ridiculous. All publicity is good publicity, I think.’
