Sidemen fans left FURIOUS after new Netflix documentary launches: ‘I’m going to cry!’

Fans of the YouTube group The Sidemen are furious after Netflix released The Sidemen Story on February 14.

The 100-minute documentary is only available on the streaming platform to British and Irish subscribers, meaning large portions of their 20 million-plus subscribers won’t be able to watch.

In The Sidemen Story, the seven British YouTubers look back on their decade-long journey as pioneers on the platform, with KSI – real name Olajide William Olatunji – leading the way.

One fan of the collective vented to X, saying, “NOOOOO THE SIDEMEN DOCUMENTARY IS NOT ON NETFLIX IN THE US.

“I’m going to cry, and on Valentine’s Day.”

The Sidemen consist of: KSI, Simon Minter (known online as Miniminter), Joshua Bradley (Zerkaa), Tobi Brown (TBJZL), Ethan Payne (Behzinga), Vikram Barn (Vikkstar123) and Harry Lewis (W2S).

They originally formed their ill-fated band over a decade ago playing Grand Theft Auto, and at the time of writing they have worked their way up to become the 12th most subscribed to British YouTube channel. KSI’s individual channel ranks ninth.

While growing with a predominantly British audience, The Sidemen’s star has risen worldwide thanks to collaborations with foreign stars such as Logan Paul.

And many of those fans can’t currently watch the emotional retelling of the group’s journey.

Other frustrated X users said: ‘The Sidemen documentary is not available on US Netflix??? No, that’s bs (bulls***)…

‘It’s not on American Netflix. Rest in peace…

‘To be honest, it’s a shame it’s only available in the UK. I’m from the United States and I’m a big fan and I was looking forward to this…

“Not available in my region (sad face).”

However, those who were able to watch the new documentary on Valentine’s Day seemed to enjoy it overwhelmingly, with many moved to tears for all the right reasons on the occasion.

They wrote: ‘I just watched the sidemen documentation on Netflix and I have to say it was real class, the document was nicely laid out and they were just them and I think that’s great for them…

“I watched it and cried several times, I love how far the boys have come. I hate to pick favorites, but my favorite person is Kon (their cameraman). He needed more screen time…

“It’s great to see how much these guys have achieved over the years. From watching them just run around killing each other on GTA to an entire Netflix documentary, it’s incredible. Congratulations guys!…

‘Listening to @ZerkaaHD talk about anxiety in the Sidemen Netflix doc was really heartwarming. I feel like fear isn’t talked about much. Seeing it being talked about and the similarities to my experiences with it, I think it will help people know that they are not alone. big love <3.'

They set up a dedicated channel in 2015 and began branching out into other forms of online entertainment, taking on a range of challenges including eating tasks, hide and seek and experimenting with parenting.

More than 300 videos have been posted to the channel, which now has 20.8 million subscribers and almost six billion total views.

Its success spawned even more channels, including MoreSidemen, SidemenReacts and SidemenShorts – all with at least 2 million subscribers themselves.

They also regularly receive millions of views on their respective individual channels.
