Jessie J, 35, hits back at internet trolls who say she has ‘got old’: ‘I enjoy looking like I’ve lived a life’
Jessie J has fired back at internet trolls who said she has ‘grown old’.
The Price Tag singer, 35, took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to defend herself against those commenting on her appearance.
The hitmaker, who rose to fame with the release of her debut album Who You Are in 2011, said she enjoys looking like she has ‘lived a life’.
She wrote: ‘I always laugh when I see a ‘She looks older’, ‘Man she is old’ comment on my posts.
‘Yes, no, because that’s me. I hate that SOME people have this strange belief that being in the public eye or being an artist means you don’t age. Shit, if that was part of the deal, I wouldn’t have left my record label. Joke.

‘I like to look like I’ve lived a life and if I were to change that one day, I’d be honest about it. But for now…I personally don’t have Botox or filler and I don’t edit my photos.
“And no shade for those who do. Personal choice always. But I’m turning 36 next month and I like my face to have a story to tell.”
Jessie’s most recent album This Christmas Day was released in 2018 and she previously served as a judge on both The Voice and The Voice Kids.
In September 2023, she announced that she had parted ways with her record label Republic Records after 17 years.
At the time, she said: “I just have to be honest about who I am and what I want from my career now and how I feel – and signing a contract isn’t part of that right now.”
She is currently not signed to a major label.
The star shares son Sky with her partner, basketball player Chanan Colman.
She and Chanan, 39, have been dating since 2021 and met just weeks after the singer suffered a tragic miscarriage.

Chanan is Danish but of Israeli descent. He currently plays for the Israel Basketball Premier League.
Jessie suffered a miscarriage during her first pregnancy in November 2021 after deciding to have a baby on her own when she split from her partner Max Pham, a dancer.
She announced the devastating news that her baby had no heartbeat on Instagram, writing that “the sadness is overwhelming.”
Jessie announced her pregnancy with Sky in January 2023 and he was born via caesarean section in early May.
