Tucker Carlson claims he spoke to Putin ‘off the record’ after his interview and says he believes the Russian leader is willing to compromise on Ukraine
Vladimir Putin is willing to compromise on Ukraine, Tucker Carlson has claimed.
The American talk show host spoke to the Russian president last week in a blockbuster interview in which Putin made a series of extraordinary claims.
Speaking about the interview in a speech on Monday at the World Government Summit in Dubai, Carlson told an audience that he believes Putin is now willing to compromise. He said he had an off-the-record conversation with the despot after the interview.
“Of course, the very work of the leaders of any country on the planet, except perhaps the United States in a unipolar world, forces them to find a compromise. This is what is called diplomacy,” Carlson said, according to TASS.
“And he (Putin) is among them (leaders willing to seek compromise).”
