Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht say they’ve had ‘zero communication’ with former co-star Meghan Markle following the renewed success of Suits

Suits stars Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht have confirmed they have had ‘no communication’ with their former The Duchess of Sussex co-star following the legal drama’s streaming success.

Speak with The Hollywood Reporter on the set of T-Mobile’s Super Bowl commercial featuring the duo, the pair were asked, “Have you spoken to Meghan Markle recently?”

“I haven’t communicated with her other than seeing her great support for the revival, and that’s been really nice,” said American actor Gabriel, who played Harvey Specter in the series.

Patrick, whose Suits character Michael Ross dated Meghan’s Rachel Zane, added: ‘Zero. No, no communication.’

The actor then jokingly pretended to get a call and said, “Oh, wait a minute. There she is. Oh, I have to go.”

At the Golden Globes in January, Patrick and Gabriel presented the award for best TV drama before being joined by fellow stars Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty.

Gina – who played lawyer Jessica Pearson in the US legal drama – revealed at the ceremony in LA that the ex-castmates simply ‘don’t have Meghan’s number’ when asked if anyone had contacted the former actress.

An insider said Page six that the Duchess of Sussex was invited to the event but was ‘unfortunately’ unable to appear due to a ‘previous commitment’.

Gina spoke to Variety on the red carpet asked, “Who texted Meghan and said, ‘You need to come to the Golden Globes, Meghan Markle.’

‘We don’t have her number. We just don’t do that. She will see. She will watch. She will be happy that we are here,” said the 54-year-old American actress, who attended the royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan in 2018.

The interviewer also asked: ‘Did you plan this? Are you all texting each other?’ She explained, “When it all came through, we were all texting each other. Yep, our text thread is insane right now. So it’s very exciting.’

Regarding Meghan’s absence, a Globes insider told Page Six, “We asked the Duchess, but we were told that unfortunately she had a prior commitment.”

Suits originally aired for nine seasons on USA Network from 2011 to 2019, and saw genius college dropout Mike Ross join a high-profile law firm alongside Harvey Specter, Jessica Pearson and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), while Rafferty becomes Harvey’s no-nonsense assistant played. Donna Paulsen.

Earlier in the evening, Gabriel discussed the show’s reawakened popularity while walking the red carpet.

‘It’s an amazing thing. We had great success when the show was on… and at some point Netflix came in. It just turned out incredible and we are very grateful for it,” he said EW.

Suits was added to Netflix in June and quickly attracted viewers with its binge-friendly catalog of 134 episodes spanning nine seasons.

Last month, it was reported that a spin-off series titled Suits: LA was in the works, four years after the original show that put Meghan in the spotlight ended.

Speculation immediately followed as to whether or not the Duchess of Sussex was involved.

Last week, sources close to the new show confirmed exclusively to DailyMail.com that Prince Harry’s wife has no plans to appear on the series.

While Meghan, 42, has opted not to join the new project as a film talent, the insider suggested she might be interested in getting involved in another way: as an executive producer, through her production company Archewell.

“Meghan was clear that she didn’t want to be involved as an actor. But Archewell tried to force its way into the spin-off as a production company,” they alleged. “NBC killed that idea.”

However, separate sources close to Archewell strongly deny this, saying the company would never have been involved in a restart.
