A Disney on Ice skater was hospitalized in critical condition after she fell while being lifted into the air by another cast member.
The skater, who played Belle on the Magic in the Stars program, was injured during Saturday morning’s performance at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition but was reported to be stable as of Sunday. KARE 11 reported.
The nature of the skater’s injuries is unknown at this time, but witnesses told the TV station that she appeared “shaky” before she fell.
Footage of the accident showed the actress apparently stranded on the ice as the skater playing the Beast hovered above her and medics rushed to her aid.

The incident occurred about 40 minutes after the 11 a.m. performance, witnesses recalled.
Beka, who brought her two children to the performance, said the cast handled what was clearly a “very difficult” situation well and made sure to “maintain the magic” for the guests.
“They were lifting, it seemed shaky and she fell,” she told KARE. “I am beyond grateful and appreciative of the remaining staff and artists who kept going because it keeps the magic alive for the children.
“I know that must have been very difficult.”
Another guest noted how the cast and crew quickly reached the injured skater, adding that the Minneapolis community “hopes she is doing well and recovering.”
A spokesperson for Disney on Ice told the news company that it “appreciates the well wishes of our fans as our team member recovers.”
