The acquisition of Jagex will not lead to any change in RuneScape’s business models, the CEO confirms

Jagex CEO Phil Mansell has reassured players of the developer and publisher’s massively multiplayer online role-playing games: Runescape And Old Fashioned RuneScape, that the acquired company will not have a negative impact on the games. Namely: “there are no intentions to change our business models (games).”

In case you missed it, on Friday, February 9, it was confirmed that Jagex was sold by investment company Carlyle to CVC Capital Partners and Haveli Investments. a press release described CVC as “a leading global private markets manager,” with “approximately €188 billion (approximately $202.5 billion or £160.5 billion) of assets under management.”
