Fans have been left standing outside the London Stadium due to issues with digital tickets, forcing them to miss the opening stages of West Ham’s clash with Arsenal.

The digital tickets have reportedly disappeared and can no longer be added to fans’ phones, preventing them from getting through the turnstiles.

As a result, supporters who remained outside the stadium missed the kick-off and the first twenty minutes of the Premier League match.

Ticket staff were on hand outside the London Stadium to resolve the issue as quickly as possible to prevent fans from missing any more of the match.

Nevertheless, fans outside the stadium became frustrated with the situation and took to social media to express their feelings.

One fan wrote: ‘Millwall Football Club is better run with ticket sales than West Ham.’ Another added: ‘Missing the game, can someone fix this West Ham!’.

Nevertheless, fans will be looking forward to the Premier League match between West Ham and Arsenal at the London Stadium.

Arsenal will look to close the gap with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table by taking all three points.

However, they will have to make do without Emile Smith Rowe as he suffered an ankle injury in training earlier this week.

Smith Rowe has been hampered by injuries in recent seasons and has only started two games for the Gunners this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match, Arteta said: ‘Emile sprained his ankle in training so he is not fit to play.’

The Arsenal boss did not reveal the severity of the injury to Smith Rowe, who returned from a knee injury in December.

The latest setback will be a huge blow for the 23-year-old as he recently earned a start in last month’s win over Nottingham Forest after training well.
