Kangaroos are native to Australia and Papua New Guinea and, according to researchers, do not occur naturally anywhere else in the world.

The typically 6-foot-long marsupial is usually found in troops or herds consisting of 50 other kangaroos.

Because of their large feet, kangaroos can jump about 30 feet in a single bound and travel more than 30 miles per hour.

Black Wallaroos are the smallest species of kangaroos at about 20 kg.
