Mackay Harbour: Mystery as body in a bag is found inside an abandoned car near city waterway
A body has been found in an abandoned car near Mackay Harbor in Queensland.
Officers are currently investigating a Landcruiser that was found in a now closed part of East Point Drive at 1.15pm on Saturday.
In the car, the police found a bag with probably the dead body in it.
Emergency services responded to reports of a body in the car and officers are now investigating how it got there.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said few details were available at this time and a crime scene had been declared.
Forensic investigators are also on the scene.
