Country star Case Barnes and his teenage daughter have been taken to hospital after suffering injuries in a ‘pretty serious’ car crash.

The 45-year-old ARIA-winning star posted images on Instagram showing him wearing a neck brace, as well as his wrecked Jeep.

“I just want to be transparent and let you know that me and my daughter Charli were involved in a pretty serious car accident last night,” he said.

‘We were on our way home, stopped at a traffic light and an uninsured driver in a 4WD rear-ended us at 45mph… causing us to crash into the car in front of us.

‘We were both taken to hospital and felt quite sore and sorry for ourselves today, with a concussion, a few cuts and bruises and a pretty nasty whiplash, but luckily we were able to walk away to tell the tale.’

Barnes added that his Jeep looked like it was going to be written off.

“Definitely one of the scariest things that could happen to me, especially if you’re a father and one of your children is involved,” he added.

‘I am grateful to the ambos and the police for taking such good care of us. Please be safe on the roads.”
