Asia Argento told Anthony Bourdain to ‘stop busting her balls’ in final text, new book claims

Asia Argento texted Anthony Bourdain in her last message, hours before he committed suicide, to stop “busting her balls,” an explosive new biography claims.
After complaining about his “possession” and breaking up with him, he complained that she had been photographed flirting with a film director at a hotel where they shared special memories.
The lyrics are now being revealed in Down and Out in Paradise: The Life of Anthony Bourdain, a new biography of Bourdain and the first ‘unauthorized’ book since his death – which both Argento and the chef’s brother have tried to stop.
Bourdain hanged himself in a French hotel room in 2018 while filming on location for his hit CNN show Parts Unknown.
The public outpouring of sympathy for the TV star was significant; his fans celebrated how he overcame his addiction to launch a successful career, praising his unpretentious, down-to-earth nature.
The book challenges that image of Bourdain as the hero of the people. It is alleged that he was addicted to steroids, drank heavily and slept with prostitutes.
In a text message to his ex-wife, Ottavia Busia-Bourdain, he complained, “I hate my fans too. I hate being famous. I hate my job. I am lonely and live in constant uncertainty.’

The biography pays close attention to Bourdain’s troubled romance with Asia Argento. In her last text to him, she told him to stop “breaking her balls” because she had to take a picture with another man
The book also includes text messages, emails, and Bourdain’s computer search history, all of which reveal that his relationship with Argento was a painful one.
She had broken up with him, citing his “possessiveness” about her.
Bourdain was heartbroken by photos of the Italian actress dancing with film director Hugo Clement in the lobby of the Hotel de Russie in Rome, where she and Bourdain shared special memories.
The book shows that he then searched for her name ‘hundreds’ of times online.
In their last text exchange, he asked, “Is there anything I can do?”
She replied: ‘Stop destroying my balls’.
He replied, “OK,” and killed himself hours later.
Bourdain and Asia Argento’s family have already challenged the book and accused Leershen of multiple inaccuracies. Simon and Schuster stand by.
“Everything he writes about relationships and interactions within our family as children and as adults, he’s either made up or done it all wrong,” Bourdain’s brother Christopher, Bourdain’s brother, told the Times.
Argento also said it was incorrect.
In an email to the journalist saying she forbade him to publish, she said, “It’s always Judas who writes the biography.”
Bourdain confided to his ex-wife that he was “hopelessly in love” with Asia. He quietly paid off Jimmy Bennett for her after the younger actor demanded $3.5 million and revealed that he slept with Argento when she was 37 and he was 17.
Argento has spoken publicly about her grief. Appearing on Italian television in October 2018, she says the pain of Bourdain’s death ‘never passes’
Despite their efforts to block the book — which, according to the Times, contains two letters to the book’s publisher — it will be out on October 11.
Busia-Bourdain does not fight against its publication. The author claims she had become his confidante, adding text messages and emails between the couple.
In one, Bourdain told his ex that he had been “hopelessly in love” with Argento for two years.
The biography claims that Argento “became so controlling that she scrutinized the social media accounts of Mr Bourdain and his wife and blew it up when she saw images of him with his family.”
“You didn’t want me to post a picture you had because Asia would panic and I have a feeling that won’t change anytime soon.
“I’m tired of pretending I don’t know you. Or that we are never in the same place,” Busia-Bourdain told him.
He replied, ‘I feel you. But I was honest. the porridge [arazzi] situation is terrible.
“But she’s been in a panic ever since I left you.”
Bourdain’s ex-wife, Ottavia Busia-Bourdain, told him that Argento was possessive and controlling. According to the book, she had become his confidante in the last days of his life. She supports its publication, while Argento and Bourdain’s brother have tried to fight it
He defended her publicly and privately, silently paying Jimmy Bennett, a man who had demanded $3.5 million from her, and claimed she harassed him by sleeping with him when he was 17 and she 37.
Bourdain came forward after seeing Argento speak publicly about being one of Harvey Weinstein’s victims.
Leershen says he has encountered resistance because the portrait he is painting of Bourdain is not flattering.
“A lot of people were willing to talk to me because they were left behind by Tony and by the Tony train,” he said.
