The Apprentice’s Paul Bowen revealed on Tuesday that he’s been hiding a big secret from the show’s other contestants in a very candid Instagram post.
He shared a series of photos showing off his naturally bald head, while explaining that his realistic hairpiece is a huge confidence booster.
Paul, 34, is a director at his family business Bowen Pies and is one of 18 hopefuls taking part in the 18th BBC series, which started on February 1, 2024.
After surviving a brutal start to the show during the error-ridden opening, the Lancashire-born contestant took to social media to share something very personal.
The star is actually mostly bald, with just a streak of mousy blonde around the edge of his head.

Paul ‘the pie maker’ left his fans in a frenzy, sharing a before and after photo of him with his thick fake locks and a photo of him rocking his natural bald look.
He captioned the post: “Swipe at her…. I’m never ashamed to say I wear her. Just like girls put on a little lippy, I put on hair.
‘Personally I feel like I look better and it increases my confidence… If you want to see the look, see @yourhair_solutions #hair #hairsystem #bald #baldnesscure #confidence’.
The candid post left the show’s fans in chaos as they flooded the comments section and couldn’t believe the star’s transformation.
One joked: ‘So you’re telling me this is a wig?’
“GIVE OVER!! How long have you had that???”
“I forgot you even had a wig buddy, he’s that good! If/when I go bald I’m in, wig for the win.”
It comes after The Apprentice suffered a viewing figures drop of more than 1.2 million viewers compared to last year, when the new series started on Thursday.

The BBC show returned to screens with a new team of hopefuls bidding to earn Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment, with Oliver Medforth becoming the first candidate to be sacked.
According to overnight figures, an average of just 3.6 million viewers watched the launch, down 1.2 million from the same time last year.
Although the show is likely to see a boost in ratings as viewers catch up on BBC iPlayer, it still remains one of the lowest viewing figures in the show’s history.
Thursday’s launch was also labeled ‘outdated’ and ‘past its sell-by date’ by bored viewers.
Viewers urged BBC bosses to change the tired format as episode one saw the men and women split into two teams and head to the Scottish Highlands to organize an outing.
Looking at I have to change it.’
‘I really have to stop watching The Apprentice every year it starts. It’s bad. it’s really bad. Tonight’s opener serves to show everything that’s wrong with the program and how doing that in the real world would get the whole team fired!’
‘Totally joking. Haven’t seen this in years. Dismissal decision only taken because of the TV effect. What the BBC takes us for. Pathetic program, way past its expiration date.’
While some viewers said they were “hooked from start to finish,” others complained that the show felt tired, with the “carbon copies” of the contestants from previous years’ stars, while complaining about the outdated color-blocked wardrobes.
‘I swear The Apprentice candidates are copies of each other… one girl looks like Harpreet, another like Victoria with glasses, another like Marianne from 2019 and Ollie a cross between Ryan-Mark and Annoying Orange’.
Another wrote: ‘Why do the girls on The Apprentice all wear a completely different color to each other? I feel like this happens in most series?’
Sales director Oliver Medforth was the first candidate to be fired from the new series.
Lord Sugar sacked the Yorkshire businessman after the men’s team suffered a disastrous loss of £506.40.
It was Oliver who ultimately suffered the blow after helper Tim Campbell, 46, revealed that customers had asked for a 52% refund, taking the total loss to £506.40.
